Myself
Graphic Designer
This project was super close to my heart, a cookbook I made in memory of my grandmother. She was the kind of person who made every meal feel special, even if it was just toast and tea. I wanted the design to reflect her softness and warmth, so I leaned into light, calming colours and gentle textures that reminded me of her.
The layout is clean and airy, with a bit of playfulness, because she had this quiet joy about her. I used bright photos, soft pastels, and simple type to keep the focus on the recipes and memories. It was important to me that it felt like something you’d actually want to flip through in the kitchen or even leave open just to feel close to her. Honestly, it’s less about being a “design piece” and more like something I made out of love, and I think that comes through.
